Hello Indians (I mean the citizens of India )!
Before initiating, I want to knock the door of your mind with the help of some questions.
What do you mean by mother tongue?
What is its importance?
From where this concept has originated?
The answer of all these questions are either very simple or very crucial. It all depends on the mentality (saturation level of mind) through which we are answering these questions.
Simply ,mother tongue means the language which has a special importance. It may also be a national language. It links the whole nation through a single chain. But this is not the whole thing, but again we have a sub concept of regional language. This is the language used in the region where we are living. India being a nation of diversity, has a wide number of regional language. Finally we had a concept of global language i.e English language which links the whole world through a single chain.
Hence we had a solution by accepting three language formula- English, Hindi and a regional language. So every people of nation should know at least three languages.
Friend a very straight and forward question. For what purpose we are using Hindi as a national language?

 Just to link the people of whole nation through a single link or it is a matter of culture/tradition.
 Hindi has been originated from sanskrit by our ancestors and hence it is a trade by which we are giving respect to our ancestors.
 Friends , does not all these answer look very peculiar in this scenario?
I accept that if globalization has given an edge to the English then, Migration and movement of people has also accelerated the spread of Hindi within country.
But in today’s world of globalization English will serve the India best. And feel free to accept this. This is not a matter of shame and also this is not a insult to our mother tongue.
One thing is clear that now-a-days our mother tongue has only become a link among people just to share their feelings and nothing more than this.
Every official language, every standard work, every standard book is in English only. This is not a insult, if not. WHY?
Or English is another name of standardization. This is a truth from where we all are escaping. Time is changing and hence our needs are changing. And according to luxury we had shifted ourselves to all modern techies . IS THIS A INSULT?
From dhoti-kurta to coat-pant
From horsecart to aeroplane
From wooden chappals to sports-shoes
From natural soaps to garnier products
From stair to lifts
From ritual marriage to court marriage

No, it is a necessity.
Something never changes but something is made for change only. Friends my message was that instead of accepting three languages formula, why can’t we stick to a single language i.e. English. No doubt initially we will be facing a huge problem but
IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN?
Our journey is from a developing nation to a developed nation. And to achieve something we have to pay many things. Going back in earlier days, we don’t have any language to communicate. We only knew body language and facial expression. But slowly we learned the languages. The job was tough but we had done.
Then why cannot we accept English globally?
What can’t a child read his first word in English?
Why can’t a child have English language as their regional/national/global language?
This is not a insult, but a time to make ONE MORE CHANGE.
An Indian

[This was my personal opinion, if somebody is hurt by any line or concept, I am sorry for that.]
