We're a democracy. Our 63rd independence just passed. So, we're free citizens. Free citizens don’t mean that there are no restrictions but real point of getting freedom is only to put restrictions on us. We owe a responsibility for each and every one of us and for the country. We all think that the worst of the recession has passed. So we're economically sound. Only to the oblivious mind.
The facts. Around 14 billion US$ worth of money belonging to Indian nationals is sitting in Swiss bank accounts right now. Just to assess the magnitude of the situation, converting this into rupees makes it almost 10 percent of the Annual National Budget.
Anti-corruption agencies do a good job, but it's barely a drop in the ocean.
A point is why should I stick only to political issues and administrative works??
Is everything right in the ground level? Is the society clean??
Police is trying hard to remove all the unsocialistic activities from locality. Is that more than enough?
A solution? BE THE CHANGE.
Clean up your morals and principles. Why are we forgetting that the ones whom we blame are also amongst us? We need a united vision. We need to put to use all that we complain about learning. Apart from intelligent, dedicated, aware and compassionate men we need imaginative adults too running this fabulous country.
Eve-teasing is a common crime that prevails in every college. If one really needs to develop is just his/her mentality. A simple step is thinking before acting. If one person feels strongly enough to get everyone else talking, thinking and feeling about an issue, a revolution CAN happen. Why can't we take a step to improve our condition? I am not talking about the ones whom I don't know but what about us. We are turning to be professionals (Engineers). Are we really behaving the way in which we should?
